Senior Wisdom
Today, as tradition for the seniors at the end of the seminary year, we got to share our "words of wisdom." Though these aren't the exact same words of wisdom I chose to share with the lower classmen, these are some of my limited "words of wisdom". :)
First, smile. It's said that everything looks brighter from behind a smile, and it's true. :) I've learned that happiness is a personal choice, and the Lord has given us everything we need to be able to find happiness. Which leads to the second.
Love the Lord and let him love you back. There's nothing his love can't do. Quoting Elder Wirthlin, "Oh, it is wonderful to know that our Heavenly Father loves us-- even with all our flaws! His love is such that even should we give up on ourselves, He never will.
"We see ourselves in terms of yesterday, and today. Our Heavenly Father sees us in tersm of forever. Although we might settle for les, Heavenly Father won't, for He sees us as the glorious beings we are capable of becoming.
"The means of this refinement is our Christlike love. There is no pain it cannot soften, no bitterness it cannot remove, no hatred it cannot alter."
